  1. With so many pressing needs in the wilderness, are you surprised David’s supreme longing is for the Lord? Why is God the only one who can satisfy our souls (see John 4:13-14)?

  2. Why does earnestly seeking God mean directing our spiritual gaze to Jesus? What private and public means of grace have recently helped you to do that?

  3. What makes God’s steadfast love better than life? How should we respond when something else feels better?

  4. How has meditating on God’s faithfulness to you in the past deepened your satisfaction in God in the present?

  5. How does Psalm 63:11 apply to Christ and the church? How do we know our earnest seeking of God as believers is not in vain?
