king’skids children’s ministry
Our goal at King’sKids is to disciple the next generation to love God and His Word! Reflecting our mission as a church, our heart is to help children discover the joy of knowing, loving, and serving King Jesus.
Our teachers use The Gospel Project, a Christ-centered chronological study of the Bible, to help children see how the whole Bible points to Jesus and the gospel. That’s where the glory of our Triune God is seen most clearly!
What to Expect on a sunday morning
Our nursery (newborn through 2 years) and our 2-3 year-olds classrooms are both open throughout the Sunday service, beginning a few minutes before the service begins. Our older children participate in our worship time in the auditorium with their parents and are dismissed about halfway through the service to their King’sKids classrooms (4-6 year-olds and 7-11 year olds). They meet their teachers in the foyer and then walk together to their classrooms down the King’sKids hall.
Children ages 12 and up participate with us in the Sunday service for the duration of the service. (They also come together on Wednesday nights for our youth and parents ministry time.)
If it is your first time visiting with us, we will gather your and your children’s information and issue you a pickup card that matches your child’s nametag. You will use that pickup tag to pick up your children directly from their classrooms at the end of the service. If your child needs you during the service, we will get your attention by indicating your pickup card number in the top right hand corner of the projection screen.
Your child’s safety and care are of the utmost importance to us! All of our teachers must be at least 18 years old and undergo Ministry Safe safety training and background checks; they are each supported by an assistant teacher as well. Two teachers are present in each classroom.
questions?
Our King’sKids Admin Team will be happy to answer any questions you have. They are stationed prominently at the large desk in the foyer of the church each Sunday morning, and they remain at their station throughout the service to support the King’sKids teachers as needed.
