  1. How do we know God's mercy does not compromise his justice? What difference does that make when it feels like being merciful is letting someone "get away" with what they did wrong?

  2. How does remembering the justice of the gospel help us when we don't feel like we deserve his mercy?

  3. Where do you need to grow in practicing the four promises of forgiveness, especially not withholding relationship?

  4. How can we forgive someone who doesn't ask for it? What's the difference between a posture of forgiveness and a transaction of forgiveness?

  5. Is there a broken relationship in your life where you need to take a step in pursuing reconciliation? How does the "if possible" in Romans 12:18 protect us from trying to do what only God can do?
