DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
How do you tend to naturally respond when someone falsely accuses or slanders you? Whose judgements are you tempted to weight more than the Lord’s in your life?
Of David’s three responses to slander in Psalm 7, which one do you find most challenging and why?
How does the resurrection of Christ strengthen our trust in God’s righteousness?
Is it hard for you to plead for vindication with a clear conscience? When David speaks of “my righteousness” what sort of righteousness is he talking about?
What characteristics about the Lord in Psalm 7:9-11 help you to not lose heart and practice “anticipatory praise” (Psalm 7:17) as you wait for vindication?
Are there any relationships in your life where you need to repent of using your words to accuse, slander, or tear down someone else?
