  1. Do you regularly reflect on all of God’s goodness to you? What are the spiritual symptoms of taking his faithfulness for granted?

  2. Have you ever counted yourself out of being part of God’s people because you felt unworthy of relationship with him? 

  3. Deut. 29:4 says, “But to this day the LORD has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.” How does that spiritual reality affect the way you evangelize your friends or disciple your children? 

  4. What is an idol? How do idols impact our relationship with God?

  5. Where have you been tempted to think, “I’m safe; everything will work out in the end,” even though you’re persisting in sin? 

  6. How could an unresolved spiritual question distract you from obeying what God has clearly revealed in Scripture?
