DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
How would you define prayer? How does prayer help us to align our wills with God’s will for our lives?
When evaluating your own life, are you “steadfast in prayer” or is your prayer life more sporadic, praying only when you are discouraged, hurt, or in need? How can we grow in being “steadfast in prayer”?
What is the “mystery of Christ” that Paul speaks about in verse 3? (See also Col. 1:27 and Col. 2:2.)
In light of God’s sovereignty in election, why do we have to evangelize the world and why is prayer needed for God to “open to us a door for the word” (v. 3)?
What is speech that is “gracious and seasoned with salt”, and why should our speech be like that (v. 6)? To what extent does your speech align with this type of speech?
