Sunday Review: 5/7/2023

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, Matthew Williams preached the message “The Test of Prosperity” from Deuteronomy 6:10-25. To listen to this message again, click here. Please see below for discussion questions for this past Sunday’s message.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  1. To what extent are you aware that the abundance in your life is from the Lord as opposed to being the result of your own efforts and successes?

  2. How prone are you to “forget the LORD” when you experience his abundant provision? (See Deut. 6:12.)

  3. Matthew said that the phrase “ungrateful Christian” is a contradiction in terms. Why is that? Why should Christians be the most grateful people on earth?

  4. Are you prone to challenge God, to grumble, complain and accuse Him when things in your life are not going according to your desires? Why is this an egregious sin that we need to repent of?

  5. According to Deut. 6:20-23 and Titus 2:11-14, why should we obey the commandments of the LORD?

  6. According to Deut. 6:24-25, what is the result of our obedience and fear of the LORD?
