Sunday Review: 3/29/26

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, Matthew Williams preached the message “Suffering with Joy” from Acts 5:12-42. To listen to this message again, click here. See below for discussion questions on this passage and message.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  1. What encouraged or challenged you the most in the sermon from last Sunday?

  2. What does it mean to suffer for Jesus’ sake? Where in your life are you most tempted to adopt a functional prosperity gospel?

  3. God is faithful to open prison doors of all kinds so we might be free to bear witness to the goodness of Jesus. Where do you need him to do as much for you? Remember suffering in and of itself cannot silence us. A sinful response to suffering can.

  4. Read Acts 4:30-32. What is it about who God is and who we are as a result that enabled the apostles to persevere in suffering? Where in your life do you need to believe the sins and weaknesses of men cannot overthrow the advance of God’s kingdom?

  5. Read Philippians 3:7-8. How does the worth of Christ enable us to rejoice and not merely endure suffering for Jesus’ sake?
