Sunday Review: 6/7/2026

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Guest Pastor Spencer Vaughn preached the message “More Than Forgiveness” from Romans 5:1-11. To listen to the message, click here. See below for discussion questions on this passage and message.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  1. Do you pursue reconciliation with God through forgiveness of sin as a means of obtaining blessings? Assurance of salvation? Or closeness with God himself?

  2. Do you feel you lack peace with God? How does having an ongoing audience with the king of kings bring one peace?

  3. Have the suffering trials you faced produced endurance, character and hope? If so, how can we express our rejoicing over that? If not, talk to God about how His promises can be true of you.

  4. If we lack delight in our relationship with God, Spencer said our devotions will feel like duty. Reflect on the promise of reconciliation to grow in delight and understanding of the impact of Christ dying for us. How can you share your delight with the person whose name you wrote on the card Sunday, indicating you wish to see them worship with us?

  5. Spencer said, “sin is only displaced when something better takes its place.” What sin do you wish to replace this week with a hope that does not put us to shame? Read Ephesians 4:22-24 for further reflection.
