  1. What does Acts 6:1-7 teach us about the great end of all church ministry? How would you summarize the problem, the solution, and the result?

  2. Are you involved in the work of ministry in and through our church or do you see yourself on the sideline? What’s your next step of obedience?

  3. Do you create ministry hierarchy’s in your mind? What does the way Peter describes both ministries in Acts 6 reveal about God’s perspective?

  4. What are some of the discerning the good works God has called each of us to do (Ephesians 2:10)? How will we know if we are engaged in the right kind of ministry?

  5. Where are you prone to equate business with faithfulness? Do you tend to assume every ministry opportunity is a responsibility or are you more vulnerable to restricting yourself to work that is within your comfort zone or fit your personality?

  6. What distinguishes the mission of the church from every other organization on the planet?
