  1. Does the command to destroy all the high places in Canaan seem excessive? Where do you need to have a similar attitude toward occasions of sin in your life?

  2. Why does God care about how we worship him? What's ultimately at stake?

  3. We invent all sorts of ways of reaching or connecting with God. Are you drawn to look for him in other places besides in Christ? Why is Jesus the only place we can engage with God?

  4. Do you think of yourself as a living sacrifice? Where are you tempted to say, "I'll worship God in this way, but not that way"?

  5. Why does pleasing God require knowing his Word? How can you grow this year in your knowledge of Scripture?
