  1. Is there a debtor in your life who is hard for you to forgive? What blessing does Jesus promise to those who choose a posture of forgiveness toward all who hurt them (Matt 6:14-15)?

  2. How should we respond to brothers and sisters in the church with material needs? What attitudes or lies can get in your way? 

  3. Why is it good to be motivated by the blessing God promises all who are generous for Jesus’ sake? What are some unbiblical motivations for giving?  

  4. How should the gospel shape the way we think about and respond to the poor (1 Jn 3:16-17)? What bearing does the gospel have on your actions as an employer or manager at work?
