Discussion Questions:
Do the faithlessness of men and the wickedness of the world tend to drive you to despair or into the arms of our faithful God? Why?
Micah grieved the spiritual barrenness of his time (see Micah 7:1). Is your soul grieved by the spiritual barrenness around you, or do you find yourself minimally concerned with how people around you live? Explain.
Matthew said, “The holiness and purity of the church, the body of Christ, is not my exclusive responsibility as a pastor. It’s our collective responsibility”. What role do you and I have to play in establishing, upholding, and promoting the holiness and purity of the church?
Micah 7:7 (ESV) reads, “But as for me, I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me”. How is God glorified when we look to Him, wait for Him, and trust Him in our daily lives?
Matthew quoted a friend saying, “Anything worth doing for the Lord is worth doing poorly”. What does that mean and how does it apply to looking to, waiting for, and trusting God in your life?
This cycle of having to look, wait, and trust seems to be on constant repeat in the Christian life. Why do you think God ordains it like that?
