July Monthly Playlist
We love to sing to the Lord and to one another on Sunday mornings. It’s one of the most important ways we deepen our understanding and delight in the truth of the gospel. As Paul says in Col 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
If singing helps the gospel “dwell” in us, our singing should not be limited to Sunday morning. Every day of the week, we need to be grounded anew in who Jesus is and what he’s done for us. To that end, we are going to send out a playlist once a month that has all the songs we’ve sung as a congregation the previous month. Use it during personal devotions. Use it when you work out. Use it to familiarize yourself with new songs so you can sing louder during our next corporate gathering. Or use it to memorize old songs so you’re less dependent on staring at a projection screen. It’s much easier to engage with the Lord during worship through song when you’re not focused on getting the next word right!
We hope that these monthly playlists help you “sing praises to his name” with all your heart (Ps 68:4).
