Sunday Night Prayer Meeting

On Sunday, February 27 we are gathering to call upon the name of the Lord from 6:30-7:30pm in the Seminar Room. We will pray specifically for personal holiness and have set aside a significant portion of the evening to minister to one another. That’s something we believe the Spirit is prompting us to do more of in 2022.

Over the last few years, our prayer meetings have been focused on topics such as evangelism, marriage, racial reconciliation, or governing officials. We alternated between praying through a written list of requests and singing to the Lord. The element we’re eager to incorporate more often is time interceding for individuals who come to our prayer meetings! We will still have a general topic, in this case, personal holiness. But we’re protecting more time to pray for specific people, creating opportunities for prophetic words of encouragement and exhortation.

We recognize Sunday evenings are a unique window of time where many of us feel the need to rest and prepare for the upcoming work week. We are also convinced there is no better way to prepare for the upcoming week (or month) by interceding for one another as a church family!
