  1. Were you surprised by the simplicity of Josh Blount’s answer to how the church fulfills the Great Commission? Does it feel like our mission should be more complicated? Why or why not?

  2. What practical steps do you take to receive the Word well on Sunday morning? Can you think of an example where something you heard on Sunday equipped you for ministry later in the week? 

  3. What are we publicly witnessing to through our corporate practice of the sacraments? How does baptism bear witness? How does the Lord’s Supper bear witness? 

  4. Is waiting an active category as you think about what it means to be a faithful Christian? What are we waiting for? In what part of your life as a disciple-making disciple is waiting most difficult?
