DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Do you tend to think of grace and good works as spiritual opposites? How are they connected in Titus 2:11-14?
How would you answer the “Who am I” question? Do you think of yourself as a “sent servant” or does another identity tend to loom larger?
Are the lists of all the things you believe about God and all the things you know you’re supposed to do as a Christian connected in your mind? Share a recent example where you discovered something about who Jesus is and what he’s done for us that makes a particular expression of godliness good and possible!
The mission God has set before us includes both leading people to faith in Jesus and helping them grow in the knowledge of Jesus. Where are you stronger or weaker right now? How have you seen God use you in one or both of those categories recently?
How does the public preaching of God’s Word accomplish the mission God has given his church? Share an example of how God used a recent Sunday sermon to help you keep pursuing life in Jesus.
