  1. What does our grumbling and complaining say about our faith in God’s judgments? Where in your life is it most difficult to trust God is the judge, not you?

  2. Why is our “sacrifice of thanksgiving” a big deal? What does our gratitude accomplish in God’s kingdom?

  3. Where has dependence on God recently produced gratitude toward God in your life? Do you see specific areas where self-sufficiency often undermines a grateful heart?

  4. Why is obedience necessary for gratitude? How would you respond to someone who says, “I don’t see why I should obey God. He hasn’t done anything good for me lately”?
