Covid-19 Update: June 25, 2022

Greetings Church Family,

As you will recall, on June 18, 2022 we posted and distributed a Covid-19 Update. At that time, the CDC declared Chesterfield County as having a High rate of transmission of Covid-19, and the guideline regarding masking indoors in public was to wear a well-fitting mask, regardless of vaccination status or individual risk.

In that update, we communicated that, as infection rates decrease, we will seek to notify the congregation.

The good news is that the transmission rate in Chesterfield County has come down and is now at a Medium level. The CDC guidelines regarding masking indoors in public when the transmission rate is Medium, are twofold. They recommend wearing a well-fitting mask:

• If you are immunocompromised or at high risk of severe illness, and

• If you live with or have social contact with someone at high risk for severe illness.  

With these recommendations in view, we trust each individual and family to make their own decision regarding the wearing of masks going forward.
