Supporting the Pregnancy Resource Center

This past Sunday we kicked off our participation in the annual Baby Bottle Campaign for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Metro Richmond. This Sunday (Jan 26) and next (Feb 2) there will be baby bottles available in the Bookshop to pick up and fill with loose change, cash, or checks. Please return these bottles to the Bookshop by February 9.

The PRC is "committed to providing compassionate care to women and men unprepared for pregnancy by offering resources and practical assistance for life-affirming choices." The video above shares exciting information about the new ways they have been able to grow and care for the moms and families that come through their doors.

We are deeply grateful for the gospel ministry this local organization is doing. We have a unique personal connection with them through our very own Julie Hagen and other KingsWay families who regularly give their time and support to the PRC. If you would like more information please check out their website at www.friendsofprcrichmond.org.

Opportunity to Serve

If you have a heart to serve at the PRC, registration to volunteer is currently open. The PRC is looking for men and women who hold a biblical worldview of life and have a desire to compassionately serve people who may be unprepared for pregnancy. Training is held twice a year and is required for volunteering. Training courses for the spring are on Thursdays (February 13, 20, 27, March 5, 12, 19, 26). Morning and evening classes are available. Cost: $38. Registration deadline is January 27, 2020. For more information on training, please contact Julie Hagen.

We are excited for all that the PRC is doing to care for those in our community and are grateful for the ability to support them in their work.
