Over the last year, our Frontline and Impact meetings have all focused on multiplying, following Jesus by helping other people follow Jesus. It’s what the Bible calls “making disciples.”

Making disciples starts with being a disciple. You can’t lead someone to follow Jesus if you’re not already following him yourself. That’s why I’m excited to announce the theme of our 2015 Youth Camp: Follow Me. On August 6-8, middle and high school students and their parents from six Sovereign Grace churches in the Mid-Atlantic region are gathering at Eagle Eyrie conference center to learn what it means to follow Jesus.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect:

  • Stronger friendships with teens and parents from Kingsway and other like-minded churches
  • Five main sessions on topics like knowing God, following together, and the power of the Holy Spirit
  • Meals, snacks, games, and two nights of lodging for only $135/person

Online registration begins June 1 and continues through July 15 on the conference website. Limited scholarship funds are available for students coming from Kingsway. If you need financial assistance or want to provide financial assistance for another student or parent, contact Matthew at the church office.

I should also mention that we are strongly encouraging all parents of teenagers to attend. It’s an opportunity to both invest in your spiritual relationship with your kids and gain wisdom from several “parents only” training sessions hosted by our regional leader, Mickey Connolly.

I hope to see you there!

Matthew Williams grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys, Ethan, Micah, and Tyler. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and is nearly finished with his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
