This week, our Women’s Ministry Coordinator, Rebekah Giannini, sent out an update regarding fall happenings for women here at KingsWay. Read the text of her message below. Prayer Meetings
I have thoroughly enjoyed our third Monday of the month prayer meetings. Whether we have had a group of ladies, just a handful, or only 2, it has always been a blessing. However, in the interest of including other women and making it easy for ladies to participate, we are going to make a change. We are going to switch to hosting these at homes. The new plan is this: let me know if you would be interested in hosting a prayer meeting in your home then you pick the day and time and we will notify the ladies. These will still be low-key and short (about an hour). The goal is simply to gather together to pray. We will kick it off on Wednesday October 25th at 7pm at Rebekah Giannini’s home.

The Gospel Coalition Women’s Conference!
Registration is open! This conference will be June 14-16 in Indianapolis and the title is: Listen and Live–Promised Grace for Rebel Hearts. You can find more info here: I went two years ago and loved every minute of it. Perhaps someone would like to organize a group?

“Blitz” Bible Studies
Fall is a busy season for many of us and the temptation to squeeze God out of our schedules is ever present. As we seek to encourage each other in growing in our walk with God here is a resource to consider: a “Blitz” Bible Study. The concept is that it is a short (you can do it in one week!) Bible Study on one Psalm that you can use as it best fits in your schedule. You could use this as a tool in your personal Bible study or (perhaps even better) recruit a friend or two to join you. Whether you complete it together or get together once to discuss what you learned or get together several times to discuss each lesson–the goal is growing together in our love for God and God’s Word and we hope this might be a help. You can find the first Blitz Bible Study on Psalm 73 here or pick up a copy at the Book Shoppe.

A New Way to Connect
Myra Whitener shared an excellent idea of creating a KingsWay Women’s Prayer Journal to help connect the women of our church and aid us in praying for one another. Essentially, each lady who chooses to participate will have a page with information about her and some prayer requests. These pages will be bound together in a book and distributed to everyone participating. In this way we will know a little more about each other and have a tool to help us pray for each other.  If you are interested, click here and fill out the information. Email the form (and a picture!) to Rebekah at
