Below is a brief review of our meeting on Sunday followed by a few discussion questions for Community Group or personal study this week.

We began our time together by singing The Glories of Calvary and Quinton Cools read from Exodus 3:1-10.

We sang Hallelujah What a SaviorOne Thing Remains, and All I Have is Christ.

As part of KingsKids Promotion Sunday, Matthew honored the recent KingsKids graduates and prayed for them as they prepare to stay in the entire meeting. Quinton gave a report about what God is doing through the Imapct and Frontline ministries and invited newcomers to attend. Visit the Connect Desk and look for a blog post later this week for more information.

Matthew introduced guest Pastor Adam Campbell who preached the next message in our current series, Son of God: The Gospel According to Mark. The scripture was from Mark 12:18-27. You can listen to the message again by visiting our Audio Resources page.

After the message we sang I Will Rise and Chris gave a benediction from Psalm 23.

Discussion Questions:

1. Adam said that scripture is filled with evidence that confirms the resurrection to come. What are some of these references and what is their significance in our daily lives?

2. Do you ever find yourself with a tendency to focus on the here-and-now instead of eternity? What causes this misplaced fixation?

3. Adam said that the resurrection can feel so distant, even when we believe it. As believers, what are some tangible ways we can work together to train our hearts on what is to come and fight getting bogged down with present trials?

4. What effect has resurrection’s transformative power had on your life? Consider both large and small ways.
