Below is a brief review of our meeting on Sunday, followed by projection from the message and a few discussion questions for community group or personal study this week.

Matthew opened our time together with announcements and led us in a responsive reading from Psalm 107.

We sang Come People of the Risen KingAmazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) and Shawn Rozier led us in a prayer of confession.

We sang Spirit of God and A Mighty Fortress is Our God and Matthew led the pastoral prayer.

Chris brought a message from Luke 19:1-10 as a break from our current series, United: The letter to the EphesiansHe then led the sharing of multiple testimonies from people who served on an E-Team this past summer. For more information, visit the Bolivia Missions Foundation webpage. To listen to Chris’ message again, visit our Audio Resources page.

After the message, we gave of our tithes and offerings as Matthew highlighted KingsWay’s international missions fund.

We sang Facing a Task Unfinished and Matthew closed our time together with a benediction.

Projection from the message:

“We are all [speaking of Christians] under orders to devote ourselves to the spreading of the good news, which is the Gospel”. – J.I. Packer

“Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” – I Peter 3:15

“Try to get at close quarters with sinners; talk gently to them till you have whispered them into the kingdom of heaven, till you have told into their ears the blessed story that will bring peace and joy to their heart” – C.H. Spurgeon

1. What is the significance of the fact that, like Zacchaeus, Jesus sees us? How is this different than if it was entirely up to us to seek Him?

2. What are some of the differences between local missions and global missions? What are the similarities?

3. How do you think God is calling you to respond in regard to Chris’ message and the testimonies that were brought on Sunday? How is the Lord calling you to be involved right now in ministering to others in your community or the world?
