Below is a brief review of our meeting on Sunday, followed a few discussion questions for Community Groups or personal study this week.

Chris opened our time together with announcements and Rich Rogness led us in a prayer of praise.

We sang Glorious and Mighty and Keven Khoffie read Psalm 86.

We sang Blessed AssuranceMade Me Glad, and O Great God.

Mark Donahue read Daniel 3 – the text for the message, “Faithful to Serve”. Matthew preached this as the next sermon in our current series, Dominion: The Book of Daniel. To listen to the message again, visit our Audio Resources page.

After the message we sang The Saving One and He Will Hold Me Fast.

Matthew closed our time together with a benediction.

Discussion Questions:

1. What is the reason that Daniel 3 offers for why we should worship God?

2. While you may not worship an idol of gold, what things in your life are you tempted to bow down to? Are there created things that lure you away from the glory of the Creator?

3. If you do find yourself in the gravitational pull of idolatry, what should you do?

4. Matthew taught that we have the ability to harness the same faith as the three godly men in this passage if, along with them, we believe the following three things:

  1. God is able.
  2. God is faithful.
  3. God is worthy.

Unpack each of these truths in your own words. What do they mean? What tangible implications should they have on our lives? How does each change your perspective when it comes to your personal struggles?
