On Sunday, January 7th, Matthew preached the message “Sola Fide” from Galatians 2:15-21 as part of our current series The Five SolasBelow are a few discussion questions for Community Group or personal study this week. To listen to the message again, visit our Audio Resources page.

Discussion Questions

1. What does sola fide mean? In your own words, describe how Galatians 2:15-21 teaches Christians to live by faith alone.

2. Matthew noted a difference between being “cloaked” by Jesus and “united” with Jesus. What was this distinction? Was this concept new to you? How does this impact your faith?

3. If justification means as a believer that you will never more or less righteous than you are right now, how does that affect your attitude towards the ongoing process of sanctification?

4. Is there a specific way in your life God is convicting you of the denying the truth that your righteousness is found in faith in Christ alone?
