On Sunday, January 6, 2019, Matthew preached the message “A Singular Hope in the Word of the Gospel” from Colossians 1:3-8 as a short break from our current series, re:creation. Below are a few discussion questions for Community Group or personal study this week. To listen to the message again, visit our Audio Resources page.

Discussion Questions:

1. What spiritual fruit do you identify in your life? How do you link this to the gospel?

2. What is the source of genuine faith and love? Do they just appear out of a vacuum? If not, what are they a result of?

3. Define the gospel. What does it me to be “gospel-centered”?

4. How does God use the word of truth to expand His redemptive will through the word of truth?

5. Looking at the year ahead, how can you better hope in the power of the gospel? Where are you most tempted to place your hope if not there?
