Happy Resurrection Day!

Celebrating Easter as church family this morning was a pure joy. For those who were unable to join us, here’s a quick review of our meeting including questions for Community Group this week.

I gave a brief call to worship and the choir led us in singing Christ the Lord is Risen Today

We sang Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed and listened to the children’s choir sing God So Loved

We sang Behold Our God and Chris read Luke 24:1-12

Gene prayed for our sister church in Apex, NC before preaching a sermon entitled, “Jesus is Alive”

Kara, Kyle, and Bridget were baptized as followers of Jesus Christ

We sang Glorious Day

We received an offering to support gospel ministry in our church and listened to the choir sing The Risen Christ (Doxology) as a benediction

Community Group Discussion Questions

  1. Have you questioned the historicity of the resurrection?
  2. What evidence does the Bible give to prove that the gospel is reliable?
  3. Do you think of the Christian faith as something that is rational? Why or why not?
  4. How should the resurrection of Jesus change the way we live?
Matthew Williams grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys, Ethan, Micah, and Tyler. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and is nearly finished with his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
