Below is a brief review from our meeting on Sunday, followed by discussion questions for Community Groups or personal study this week.

Josh opened our time together by reading Psalm 100.

Quinton Cools led us in 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) and How Deep the Father’s Love.

Doug Roberts read Luke 15:11-32 and Serena Walker led a prayer of confession.

We sang Who am I and Good, Good Father.

Matthew prayed for families and marriages within out church and preached the next message in our current series, United: The letter to the EphesiansThe message was from Ephesians 6:1-4. To listen again, please subscribe to our Audio Resources page.

After the message, we sang Rescue and Good, Good Father.

Matthew closed our time together with a benediction from Colossians 1:9-12.

Discussion Questions:

1. Why does God’s design for children require humble obedience? What is the difference between simply following the rules and a genuine desire to serve Jesus?

2. In what way is obedience the only solid path to blessing in this world?

3. How does Ephesians 6:4 specifically invoke dads?

4. What role does patience play in any paternal relationship? How would you define persuasive gentleness? What role does this play as adults relate to the children in their charge?
