Here’s a quick review of our meeting last Sunday, plus a few questions for Community Group discussion this week.

We sang Come Praise and Glorify and All I Have is Christ.

Josh Kruger read 2 Peter 1:3-4.

We sang Greater Than We Can ImagineGenerous King, and As Long As I Have Breath.

Brian McPeters shared about the upcoming Men’s Retreat and invited all KingsWay men to register.

Gene led us in prayer as we prayed for churches around the world, specifically in Saudi Arabia.

Gene then preached a sermon entitled What do you do with it? from 1 Timothy 6:6-11, 17-19 as part of our Jesus and Your Wallet series.

We worshiped God through our offerings while singing All the Way My Savior Leads Me and then shared communion together.

Chris Deloglos sent us off with a benediction.

Community Group Discussion Questions

  1. Timothy pursued contentment. Gene defined this as “A state of happiness and satisfaction in having all that we need.” Do you feel like you have this sort of contentment on a daily basis?
  2. Cravings happen when we look to the love of money to satisfy us. What misplaced cravings do you experience?
  3. What is an example in which you have witnessed wealth being used in a humble manner?
  4. Gene encouraged us to take what is passing away and send it on ahead. What are some practical ways that families can use the resources that they have to bless others?
Matthew Williams grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys, Ethan, Micah, and Tyler. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and is nearly finished with his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
