Here’s a quick review of our meeting last Sunday, followed by a few discussion questions for Community Groups this week.

Gene opened our gathering with a call to worship from Luke 19

We sang Our Song from Age to AgeRevelation Song, and Jesus Shall Reign

Chris welcomed our guests

Bob read Luke 19:28-44

Matthew led us in praying for Emmaus Christian Church and then preached a sermon entitled, “The King of Peace,” from Luke 19:28-44

We sang Jesus, Son of God and then gave an offering to support the ministry of gospel through our church while we sang He is Jesus

Gene gave a benediction

Community Group Discussion Questions

  1. Do you think of Jesus as the King of the universe? Why or why not?
  2. Do you believe praising Jesus is a moral necessity?
  3. Do you think of worship as something you’re always doing?
  4. Is there anything or anyone that you readily look to for joy or peace more than Jesus?
  5. How does King Jesus give us peace?
Matthew Williams grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys, Ethan, Micah, and Tyler. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and is nearly finished with his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
