The following message is written by Julie Hagen, a KingsWay member who works at the Pregnancy Resource Center. As you read her words below, consider if God may be calling you to serve in this way.

Part of our church mission statement is to love our neighbors. As well, God Himself calls us to love our neighbors. No matter where we are, we can love our neighbors, and serving at the PRC is a wonderful way to do this. The Pregnancy Resource Center of the Richmond Metro Area (PRC) is committed to providing compassionate care to women and men unprepared for pregnancy by offering resources and practical assistance for life-affirming choices.

If you have a heart for missions, and want to serve somewhere local, consider serving at the PRC. If you have a heart to care for others, and to love others with the love of our Father, consider serving at the PRC. If you have a desire for God to use you to share the gospel, consider serving at the PRC. We see people on a daily basis who need to see genuine love, and who need to know that God loves them and cares for them. The ones we serve, women and men, come from different religions, different ethnicities, and different walks of life. They all have one thing in common. They need God, just like you and I.

I love serving at the PRC because I knew God had called me to missions, and being there daily is like being on the mission field. It just isn’t overseas. Also, I love the opportunity to serve with other believers from other churches in the area—serving with them enriches my life. It is the Christian community coming together to fulfill the great commission.
