On Sunday, September 22, 2019, Rachel Siefring shared the following Prayer of Praise at the start of our meeting. We hope that her words continue to encourage and inspire your hearts this week.

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth. You perform wonders for Your people. We have seen Your goodness and Your kindness. You are strong, mighty, unfathomable. Your greatness is too big for us to imagine. May You accept this offering of thanksgiving to your Amazing Name. Oh, we give thanks to You, for You are good. Your lovingkindness endures forever. You do not treat us as our sins deserve, but throw our sins and iniquities as far as the east is from the west. You know our frame, and remember that we are dust. As a father has compassion on his children, so you have compassion on us.

We remember Your wondrous deeds to the children of Israel. How You delivered them from Egypt. How You parted the Red Sea. How You brought down Jericho. How settled them in the promised land. How you delivered them from their enemies. Lord, You knew the Israelites would turn their backs on You and grumble against You, and yet, you still chose them. Not because of anything they had done, but because of who You are.

How much more, have You done this for us! Through the work of Your Son, we are free from the law of sin and death, and are alive to Christ. We have done nothing to deserve this love, which You lavish on us unconditionally. We thank and praise Your Holy Name for the love lavished on us.

There is no other Name by which we can be saved. Only Yours. Your righteousness endures forever. Your kingdom to all generations. May the nations of the earth bow down before You and worship Your Holy Name.

May all of us, and Your creatures, say:  to You, O God, be blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, and might, forever and ever.
