With spring headed into full force and Easter Weekend 2016 behind us, our KingsWay staff is excited to look ahead to several new communications projects that will be coming soon to better serve our church and community. I wanted to take a few moments to tell you about one of these projects and what you can do to help.

As anyone who visits KingsWay will quickly see, Community Groups are the lifeblood of our church family. This is because when you begin a relationship with Jesus, you begin a relationship with His people. It’s not just another meeting to attend, rather, it is a safe place to be real about our failures, honest about our strengths, and learn to follow Jesus in the middle of it all. We call it becoming a disciple-making disciples. Small groups of 10-12 people gather in homes, restaurants, and coffee shops throughout the week to love Jesus and love people. Joining a Community Group connects you to other Christians with whom you can laugh, cry, serve, grow and share.

It is our vision to communicate this lifestyle to our local community and invite others to join in this endeavor. One of the ways that we would like to do this is by creating a short video to represent the various Community Groups present at KingsWay and what it looks like to be a part of one.

In order to make this happen, we are looking for several photographers and videographers to assist in the development of the project. Previous experience is great, but not required. The total amount of work involved would only be 3-4 hours over several weeks.

If you or someone you know has expertise in this area, or if you simply have a desire to serve KingsWay in a tangible way, please let me know at serena@kingsway.cc.

She received her undergrad degree in Communications and Journalism and is pursuing graduate work in Counseling and Discipleship. Serena works full-time in the non-profit sector and serves on the board of the Bolivia Missions Foundation.
