Our second quarter Members Meeting will be held this Sunday evening, May 3, from 6:30-8:00pm. We have a number of important topics on the agenda:

1) Our partnership with Sovereign Grace

After several months of deliberation, the Council of Elders approved a revised partnership agreement designed to compliment our Book of Church Order. All Sovereign Grace elderships are required to sign the revised partnership agreement by June 1, 2015. We’re excited to explain the agreement (available here) and share our vision for continued affiliation with Sovereign Grace.

2) Our local church constitution and bylaws

Adopting the new Book of Church Order a few years ago prompted us to revisit our local church constitution and bylaws. We have a couple changes to propose this Sunday and look forward to gathering feedback from all our members over the next few months.

3) Our church covenant

A group of Kingsway members have been working to rewrite our church covenant over the last 6 months. We began the project after realizing that our current covenant needed improvement in several areas. Quite a few of us didn’t even realize we had a church covenant! The team tackling the rewrite is eager to provide an update on their progress and request your continued prayer.

4) Our first quarter financial report

The Financial Advisory Board will review our first quarter finances and explain our financial priorities for the rest of 2015.

If you are a member of Kingsway or recently attended the Starting Point class, please join us!

Matthew Williams grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys, Ethan, Micah, and Tyler. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and is nearly finished with his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
