I love to study the Bible, and for a long time have looked for a book that would help us learn to study God’s Word in an easy, understandable way. Last fall, my dear friend Karin Kruger gave me the book, “Women of the Word” as a gift, and I could not put it down! I thought – “This is the book I have been praying about for a long time”!

In “Women of the Word,” Jen Wilkin shares how she tried lots of ways to study the Scriptures over the years, but always ended up frustrated. She shares her journey in a relatable way and outlines a method of studying the Bible that is easy to use for the first-time Bible reader as well as someone who has studied the Bible for years.

So I am excited to use this book for a five week Summer Ladies Bible Study beginning the week of May 25th. Our goal is not just to read the book (which is easy to read!), but to dig into studying God’s Word together.  The book provides a fruitful way to study the Bible, and then use that study method to dig into the book of Philippians.
