Brittany Fernandez has worn almost every hat possible in our Sunday morning children’s ministry over the last few years. Officially, she’s the King’sKids Administrator, which means she schedules teachers and prepares classrooms as a part-time staff member. In reality, she’s done quite a bit more, including volunteering in the nursery, hosting teacher training meetings, and coming up with an endless variety of ways to help us care for children and their parents more effectively. I know I’m not alone in thanking God for the gift this woman is to our church. Working with her at the church office has been a pure joy.
Earlier this year, Brittany decided that as of January 2016, she would step down from her job as the King’sKids Administrator in order to become a full-time college student and work for her dad’s business. How she’ll do both of those things at the same time is a mystery to me, but then again, I’ve watched her juggle multiple projects at the same time for years. If anyone can do it, Brittany can.
I’m grateful she wants to spend her final few months training her replacement.
