As many of you know, we’re sending a short-term missions team to La Paz, Bolivia in just a few weeks. Part of their time will be spent serving in an orphanage named Casa de Esperanza or “house of hope.”
The missions team has prepared two picture frames, each displaying the scripture and empty tree pictured above. One tree will be decorated with colored thumbprints from Kingsway attendees this Sunday and given to Casa de Esperanza as a gift from our church. The other tree will be taken to Bolivia and brought back to Kingsway with thumbprints from the children at Casa de Esperanza.
Tom Sturgeon, one of the Kingsway members going to Bolivia, described the goal of this particular project. “These pictures will be reminders for each to pray for the other and know that others are praying for them.”
The tree will be on display in the foyer this Sunday (July 20). Be sure to stop by and add your thumbprint! More importantly, please pray that the missions team will be a significant blessing to Casa de Esperanza.
