Why are you alive?

If you’re a Christian, Jesus has already answered that question for you.

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Over the last few years, we’ve sought to fulfill our God-given mission through our partnership with churches and Christian ministries in Bolivia. We’re excited to announce that God has provided an opportunity for us to return to Bolivia this fall as part of a 12 day missions team (August 11-23).

Trip highlights include 3 days in an orphanage caring for 80 abandoned children, 3 days days serving alongside a church in El Alto, evening meetings with various churches, and shopping in the markets of La Paz. El Alto is the suburb of La Paz where two of our members, Brad and Tammy Bishop, have been working with Suti Sana. We estimate the total cost will be somewhere between $1,000 and $1,200, including airfare, meals, lodging, and transportation.

If you are interested in joining the mission team this fall or in years to come, be sure to attend the interest meeting on Sunday, April 13 from 12:15-1:00pm in the Seminar Room. You’ll hear stories from church members who participated in past mission teams and have an opportunity to ask questions about getting involved.

Contact Gene if you have any questions.

Matthew grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and received his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
