We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. (Romans 6:3-4)

Baptism Sundays are some of my favorite meetings of the entire year. Few things bring more joy to my heart than watching men and women publicly declare their faith in Christ and commit to follow Him all the days of their life.

Our next baptisms will be held on Sunday, November 8. Anyone who would like to be baptized that morning or who simply wants to learn more about the significance of baptism is invited to attend a Baptism Class on Sunday, November 1 from 12:30-1:30pm in the Seminar Room.

I’ll take an hour to walk through some critical questions on the topic of baptism, including suggestions for parents who want to have their children baptized. The class will also help you prepare for a pastoral interview, which is required prior to getting baptized at Kingsway. If you plan on attending the Baptism Class and/or would like to be baptized, please sign up here.

Matthew Williams grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys, Ethan, Micah, and Tyler. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and is nearly finished with his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
