On Sunday, Rich Siefring brought a Prayer of Praise to our church at the start of our Sunday meeting. The text of his prayer is written below. We hope that his words will continue to encourage and inspire your hearts.

Father,

We draw near to You this morning to sing praise and thanksgiving to Your Holy Name.

Blessed be Your Name, for it was You who sent your Son, Jesus, into this world to seek and to save lost sinners like us.

Blessed be Your Name, for it was You who gave us saving faith to repent of our sins, and to trust in the finished work of Jesus, who’s blood washed, cleansed and freed us from all of our sins. And, it was You who gave use the gift of eternal life.

Blessed be Your Name, for it was you who adopted us as sons and daughters, who instructed us to call you Abba or Papa, and it was You who welcomes into the Holy of Holies every day like children who are picked up into their father’s lap.

Blessed be Your Name, for it is You who daily bears our burdens. When we cry out to you when faced with trouble, sickness, loneliness, disease, temptation or infirmity, You are the One who is always good, and who is ever faithful and ever true. You pardon our sins. You heal our diseases and our infirmities. You deliver us from the pit.

Blessed be Your Name when we walk through the valley of despair, You give us songs of joy in the night, and Your joy is our strength.

Blessed be Your Name, when there are times when we can’t find the strength to go on and face another day, or when we don’t know how things will work out. You tenderly come alongside us, you pick us up in Your arms, you speak Your tender love to us, and you breathe life into our dry bones and give us the faith to keep moving and trust in You.

Blessed be Your Name, for You are the Rock Of Our Salvation, and it is You who trains our arms for the spiritual battles that we face, and it is You who gives us the victory in all of these battles.

Blessed be Your Name, for it is You, by Your Spirit, who daily molds us and conforms us into the image of Your Son, Jesus, with much patience and forbearance.

You and You alone are worthy of all of our praise, all of our adoration, all of our devotion and all of our love. Come Holy Spirit, fill this place and cause us to remember this morning who You are and what you’ve done. May you fill our hearts and our mouths with the praise and thanksgiving that we, as your children, long to lavish on you Papa.

We love you, and we long for the day when we see you face to face. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
