One of the highlights of the past few years has been our growing relationship with a group of churches & ministries in Bolivia.  As we have been privileged to meet & serve these precious people, our hearts have been expanded and our vision for God’s purposes lifted in ways that have transformed our lives.

Missions trips provide excellent opportunities to expand our spiritual horizons and stretch in faith by ministering in a third world environment.  This summer we will host our third short-term missions trip to Bolivia on July 20 to 31.  As before, we’ll spend the first half of the trip serving children at the Casa de Esperanza orphanage in the town of Caranavi,  The staff here cares for 80 children ages 6 months to 16 years.   This has been a fruitful relationship…these children will win your heart!

We are hoping to take a number of medical professionals who would stay the whole ten days at the orphanage to provide medical care for the children.  If you’re a medical professional & are interested in participating, let us know!

The second half of the trip we will serve the Sutisana ministry led by Andy & Andrea Baker.  The staff of Sutisana cares for women coming out of prostitution and provides training for meaningful job skills, and we hope to take time to encourage and minister to the staff as well as these women.

We will also participate in outreach with churches in LaPaz led by Johnny Dueri & Jorge DelCastillo.  Our ongoing relationship with these men & their churches is exciting!

If you’re interested, join us for an interest meeting following the Sunday meeting on March 15 in the seminar room at 12:30 pm.  Questions?  Contact Chris Delogolos, who is leading the trip.

Matthew Williams grew up attending KingsWay and joined the pastoral staff in 2009. God has blessed him and his wife, Aliza, with three rambunctious boys, Ethan, Micah, and Tyler. Matthew did his undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in chemistry and political science, spent a year at the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, and is nearly finished with his Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
